What is the Satusteam™ process?
Satusteam™ is simply the combination of super heated water and steam with ZERO additives and NO chemicals.
When the water/steam combination is applied to any exposed plant matter, it is an effective top kill process as the heat quickly transfers into the cell structure of the weed, essentially cooking it.
The exposed part of the weed typically wilts immediately and within 24-48 hrs will brown and die. Any remaining root system will use it's stored energy to re-sprout weakening its overall structure. With each continued Satusteam™ application the root system continues to lose energy until the inevitable elimination of the remaining root system.
How many applications of Satusteam™ will be required?
The number of applications of Satusteam™ required depends on the maturity of the weed root system. Weeds sprouting from seeds within the current growing season may only require a single Satusteam™ application. Whereas; weeds with a mature root system grown over multiple years will require repeated Satusteam™ applications consistently through the current year or longer.

Why does H2O Weed Control recommend continued Satusteam™ applications?
Consistent Satusteam™ applications will continue to reduce existing weeds while preventing germination
of new seeds blown in during the current growing season, thus resulting in complete weed control. We typically recommend repeat applications every 3-5 weeks over the current growing season. This approach is the most cost effective and efficient way to gain and maintain weed control.
